Workshop 1: Dam Safety Reviews by Canadian Dam Association (CDA)

This workshop is designed to guide dam professionals through the full process of conducting dam safety reviews from preparation by dam owners, to safety assessments by engineers, and follow-up actions that ensure long-term reliability of dam infrastructure.
The programme will feature international expertise from Tony Bennett and Margaret Trias of the Canadian Dam Association (CDA), offering valuable perspectives on dam safety management, performance evaluation, and reporting practices.
Workshop 2: Emergency Management for Dam Safety by Canadian Dam Association (CDA)

This workshop will focus on strengthening dam safety programmes through effective emergency management. Participants will learn core principles of preparedness, risk assessment, inundation mapping, emergency classification, response actions, recovery planning, and stakeholder engagement ensuring a comprehensive approach to risk management.
The programme will feature international expertise from Clare Raska and Marc Smith of the Canadian Dam Association (CDA), who bring decades of experience in dam safety guidelines, emergency planning, and geotechnical engineering across Canada and internationally.
Workshop 3: Dam Instrumentation & Analysis by MYCOLD

The programme will address monitoring systems, inspection practices, and the interpretation of instrumentation data, with practical examples from the field. The workshop will be conducted by specialists from TNB Genco, DID Malaysia, and JMG Malaysia, providing applied insights for dam owners, operators, engineers, and regulators.
Workshop 4: Dam Resilience under Climate Change and Sedimentation Challenges by MYCOLD

The session will focus on climate impacts, sedimentation risks, and adaptive strategies supported by modelling tools and case applications. The programme will feature contributions from experts at UTM and Dr. Nik & Associates, offering perspectives relevant to dam professionals and water resource managers.
